The Booth Playhouse of the North Carolina Blumenthal Performing Arts Center is a courtyard-style proscenium theater with cabaret and theater-in-the-round capabilities. This intimate theater contains 434 seats with seating in orchestra and gallery levels. It hosts a variety of dance, choral and other musical ensembles, as well as meetings, seminars, and workshops.

Booth Playhouse By Train (LYNX Blue Line)
The LYNX Blue Line offers fast, quiet, convenient light-rail service to 15 stations between uptown Charlotte and I-485 at South Blvd. Free park and ride lots are available at eight of the stations.
Blumenthal Center guests can disembark at the Charlotte Transportation Center/Arena Station on E. Trade Street, only a block from Founders Hall and the Belk Theater. Guests attending shows at Spirit Square’s McGlohon Theatre or Duke Power Theatre will enjoy similar easy access from the Seventh Street Station.
Adult fare is $1.50 per ticket (each way). Youth and senior fares are only 75 cents. Trains will operate seven days a week from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m., and service is available every 7.5 minutes during weekday rush hour and every 15 minutes during non-peak hours. During weekday evenings the Blue Line will operate every 30 minutes. Weekend service will operate every 20 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes during late night hours.
